About Me

I am Ellen Hedley, the “face” behind AE Transcription, an AMSPAR qualified Medical Secretary/PA with over 34 years’ experience working in a wide range of medical fields and can offer Secretarial Services remotely from my home office in Northumberland.

I have worked in NHS Hospitals, a University Department, private practice, and most recently full time for a well-known large Occupational Health company.  I was fully self-employed prior to the OH position (including working for an Estate Agent and Surveyor) and am returning to the self-employed arena as I thrive on a more varied role and feel it will make better use of my skills and experience. I have experience in urology, orthopaedics, nephrology, gynaecology, cardiology, general medicine, general surgery, and psychiatry, but along the way have picked up a pretty good all-round medical terminology base. 

All in all, I am a bit of a “Girl Friday” and like to think I can turn my hands to anything – I have listed here the services I offer, but if you have any other requests or can think of a way in which my Secretarial Services could enhance your business, please do feel free to contact me!
